Amber

I planned Amber's wedding in 9 weeks! She hired me nine weeks EXACTLY before her wedding day! The only thing she knew is that the wedding would take place at her mother's home. Amber was SO easy and fun to work with. I would call her with an idea and she'd say, "Oh, what do you think? I trust you!" AAHHH! That is a wedding planner's dream statement! We had about 60 guests who went through 6 bottles of Patron in an hour and a half...drinking ONLY shots! DID WE PARTY OR WHAT? My couple went through 6 bottles of Moet...by themselves!! SSSOOO much fun! Amber is why I do what I do!

Many Blessings To Amber and Quincy and their BEAUTIFUL baby girl Savannah!

Jamila

Jamila brought me on to be her day of planner. We began working together about nine weeks out. It was a tough weekend for me, probably one of the toughest I've ever had. My bride was great, though, and her day ended up being wonderful and fun! 400 people for a sit-down dinner at 8:00 p.m. LOTS of details (and chair sashes, AARRRGGGHHH, HATE THOSE SASHES AND COVERS!). But, what does not kill us, makes us stronger. I am certainly glad I had the chance to work with her.

Many blessings to Jamila and Paul

I Am Published...AGAIN!

My new article in The Commercial Appeal is out today! I wrote it a few months ago and am so excited to see it! It's the second time this newspaper has asked me to write a column for their special edition. Once I get a copy (that was supposed to happen last week) I will scan it and post here for all to see!

Krystal

Krystal was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is quite creative in her own right and trusted me to do my job. TOGETHER we made a beautiful wedding for her. This wedding was BY FAR one of the easiest wedding days I have ever had! Krystal was married on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Le Pavillon in Memphis, TN.

Many Blessings to Krystal and Erik!

And So It Begins...

This is my first blog on The Planner Pages. Here I will post interesting things about the glamorous (yeah, right) life of a wedding planner. WHY, OH, WHY does everyone think it is so easy, cool and glamorous to be a wedding planner? Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE to plan! This is my passion in life. But, as any planner worth their salt knows, it can be a long, hard road to a wedding day!

Well, a little about me. I have been planning for about 12 years. I made the leap into full-time planner about three years ago. Andria Lewis Events (http://www.andrialewisevents.com/) is my baby! I am so happy about the work I've done lately and the growth of my company. See, I moved to Memphis from New Orleans a little over two years ago. It rained and New Orleans got a little wet. Perhaps you heard about it. I'm not an original New Orleanian. I am a proud Mississippi girl. Call me a GRIT anytime! For you Northerners, that's a Girl Raised In The South!

I am just coming off a series of weddings that has me a bit pooped. I'll recap the planning process and post a few pics of my girls.

Alrighty, without further ado, here we go! Hang on! It could be a bumpy ride!!!
